Don’t become discouraged

Prayer Focus week 21 (Sunday-Shabbat)
As we have said many times, we are in the season of “spiritual boot camp.” During these times of intensity it is easy to allow frustration/discouragement to set in when we do not immediately see His answers. Do not meditate on or be consumed with the circumstances and what “appears” to be happening around you. Yes, we need to wise and aware, but I encourage you to look away from everything those things that overwhelm us, making us feel defeated.

1. Do not allow circumstances to steal the joy the LORDhas given us.
2.  Force your thoughts to be upon our LORD: He will not forsake or fail us! He promises to strengthen us and help us! In HIM, we will experience His victory!

Versesupon which to meditate:
o    “David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished,” 1 Chronicles 28:20 NIV.
o    “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand,” Is 41:10 NIV.
Prayer:
“Precious Heavenly Father, thank You for being the author and finisher of our faith. We bless You, mighty God! Help us to rely on You in difficult situations. Help us to force the meditations of our hearts to be on You and Your Word. We know that in You is all hope and victory!  Thank You for continuing to build our spiritual muscles that we might be Your arms extended to those hurting around us! We praise You! We ask that You intervene in all of the requests below: heal those who are ill, do miracles in the lives of the hurting, bring encouragement to the discouraged, protect those who are in harm’s way. Thank You for the awesome miracles YOU have wrought this week! In Your most holy  Name.”
