HALLELUJAH! His mercies are new every morning!

Prayer Focus week 37 (Sunday-Shabbat)

Hallelujah! His mercies are new every morning! Isn’t it wonderful knowing that we awaken each morning to a brand new and clean slate! All we have to do is ask for forgiveness for where we have fallen down – and He is there, waiting for us with wide open arms of love. He doesn’t condemn us for where we’ve fallen short. He loves us and is there to help us walk through the difficulties and struggles.

A favorite verse of mine is 1Cor 10:13: “No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it,” (NASB). Meditate on what this verse says. Whatsoever trials you are facing are common to man. Isn’t it great to know that you are not the “worst whatever”, but that your struggle is common! HE is faithful; He will not allow the temptation to be greater than what we can handle – that means He designed us to overcome the situation! Not to barely scrape by but to overcome with victory!!! He is right beside us, holding our hands and enabling us to overcome. Yes, we may be like small children and periodically pull our hands away from His, and we may fall down. But as we look to Him, He will lift us up and get us back on track. What an amazing God we serve!!!!!!!!

Verse to memorize:  Meditate on these verses:

o    Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust (Psalm 91:1-2, NIV)

o    Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart (Psalm 91:3-4)

o    You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. (Psalm 91:5-6)

o    A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. (Ps 91:7-8)

o    If you make the Most High your dwelling – even the LORD, who is my refuge –
then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. (Ps 91:9-10)

o    For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; (Ps 91:11)

o    they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. (Ps 91:12)

o   You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
 you will trample the great lion and the serpent. “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges My name. He will call on Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.” (Ps 91:13-16)

Most High and precious God. Thank You that Your mercies are new every morning – You forgive us of our short-comings. You are there enabling us to overcome. Thank You. How wonderful it is knowing that You are always on our team – loving, teaching, cheering us on. We love You, precious Father. We bless Your holy Name. Thank You for intervening and helping Tere get out of debt – we pray You enable us all to be debt-free by the end of 2012. Heal our hurting bodies and hearts. Bring our families together and our soldiers home spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally whole and stronger than when they left. Bless their families. Heal their nerves. Give them a sense of Your calm. Bring Your peace to Jerusalem and turn our Land back to You. In Your loving Name, we pray.”
