Overcome Craziness

Prayer Focus week 35 (Sunday-Shabbat)

A good friend once told me that her husband never had a bad day. How can that be when we continue to hear about the assaults and craziness everywhere we turn – not just here, but all over the world. Does he live a life problem-free? How can we also overcome? Our attitudes can help us to see beyond our situation – to rise above  our circumstances. As Proverbs instructs we are to “Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life,” (Proverbs 4:23, NASB). KJV tells us to “Keep thy heart”. As we watch and keep our hearts, we will be able to see situations from His perspective because life, His life, will flow from our hearts! Let us watch over our hearts and our attitudes, so that the world will also say about us “that we never have bad days.” No, I am not suggesting we be superficial or fake, but that we force our minds to meditate on His Word so that we can be instruments of His peace on earth. How very true the old expression is: when we change, the whole world changes!

Verse to memorize:  Meditate on these verses:

o    Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust (Psalm 91:1-2, NIV)

o    Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart (Psalm 91:3-4)

o    You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. (Psalm 91:5-6)

o    A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. (Ps 91:7-8)

o    If you make the Most High your dwelling – even the LORD, who is my refuge –
then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. (Ps 91:9-10)

o    For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; (Ps 91:11)

o    they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. (Ps 91:12)

o   You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
 you will trample the great lion and the serpent. “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges My name. He will call on Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.” (Ps 91:13-16)

Prayer:we blessed to be allowed to intercede for the needs. Some answers come within a few days, others may take weeks or months. Regardless of what we see with our natural eyes, HE is working. We need to continue to be faithful inintercession!

Once again, precious Father, You have intervened!! We are truly humbled at how YOU, and You alone protect and heal us. Help us to meditate on Your Word and on Your victory and not on our situations. Help us to see things from Your perspective. We love You and thank You for Your healing all of those for whom we are praying.
