Prayer Focus week 15 (Sunday-Shabbat)
FOCUS: Rosh HaShanah
The season of Tshuvahis drawing to a close as Rosh haShanah ( Sept 28), followed by Yom Kippur the next Shabbat are coming quickly.
G-d’s Holy Days are an integral part of his calendar – and every year are becoming more a part of our personal one as well.
Verses upon which to meditate: Psalm 122:6 "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May they prosper who love you."
o “These are the appointed feasts of the LORD that you shall proclaim as holy convocations; they are my appointed feasts’” Lev 23:2, NIV.
o The Festival of Trumpets (Rosh haShanah): 1 “‘On the first day of the seventh month hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. It is a day for you to sound the trumpets. 2 As an aroma pleasing to the LORD, offer a burnt offering of one young bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect. 3 With the bull, offer a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah[a] of the finest flour mixed with olive oil; with the ram, two-tenths[b]; 4 and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.[c] 5 Include one male goat as a sin offering[d] to make atonement for you. 6 These are in addition to the monthly and daily burnt offerings with their grain offerings and drink offerings as specified. They are food offerings presented to the LORD, a pleasing aroma,” Numbers 29:1-6.

Prayer:
o "Our most precious Heavenly Father, thank You for the miracles You have wrought in this last week! Thank You for loving us – even with our weak and fumbling ways of following You. Help us to let go of those things that so easily entangle us – help our walks to become more pure before You. We thank You that Your intervention into our lives is based upon You and Your faithfulness. We want to walk in a pleasing manner and upright before You…. We pray the shackles on the eyes of the world will be penetrated with Your WORD – that You protect Israel and her borders – that Your peace will come to J’lem! We pray that You touch each of the needs on the list below.Help us to revere Your Holy Days even as You do. In Your most holy Name,we pray!”
Hallelujah!
o Natan (Les’a and Don’s son): came to Tucson last weekend – you each blessed him mightily with your love and prayers! Chantell and the boys – finally – arrived on Thursday.
o Art’s daughter invited him for peach cobbler! A huge miracle!
o Maxine and Joe are going to visit her daughter and son-in-law, Matt!
o Everyday Phyllis is doing a bit better – and continues to have an amazing attitude!
o Les’a continues to marvel at how God postponed her foot surgery! Daily, she realizes how MUCH she needs two feet right now, during Natan’s days prior to deployment
o Dawn’s therapists continue to be amazed at how quickly she is healing and at the mobility she has. She said: “I believe it is because of our Lord and all the prayers – thank you!”
Requests: (please email updates on these situations)
o Miracle baby (Josiah): went to the hospital Friday night. They think it’s food allergies, perhaps to milk. Pray for his immune system to continue strengthen. Prayer for wisdom for doctors and healing for “our” boy.
o PJ: inflammation in his back will go down, and his back will to return to normal without surgery. That he will not have to undergo back surgery. That the paperwork issues will be resolved ++ JOB!
o Debbie Martinez (Bev and Ruben’s daughter-in-law’s mother): open heart surgery. Also lift up Christine as she is exhausted. And her fiber myalgia is really kicking her. And her move this weekend.
o Food bank (Cynthia’s parents’ ministry). Two of those injured by the accident at the food bank at her parents' church are trying to sue the church and Cynthia’s parents to recover their medical costs. We are believing God to see this activity stopped and against fear. We know no weapon formed against them will prosper.

o Phyllis: knee surgery: pain and flexibility
o Dawn: continued prayer for total healing of her knee.
o Maxine & Joe: traveling mercies and God’s tremendous favor as they travel to see Debbie & Matt (her son in law): God has been gracious by giving him many good months. Cancer is again moving aggressively. He is in much pain and in hospice. Praying for the family.
o Natan and family (Les’a and Don’s son and his family): the date of his deployment would be God’s date!
o Jon (Phyllis’ son): That God intervenes and places him where he will be encouraged to make good decisions which will impact his family for good, for Your good.
o Norman’s relative’s issues.
o Yvonne’s grandson: pray that his mom and her boyfriend treat Ryan with love.
o Art’s relationship with his daughter – that there would be a healing and mending of hearts at the dinner next week.
o Bob Kaiser (Maxine and Joe’s friend): special prayer for physical healing.
o Judy (Art’s, Norman’s, and Pamela’s friend): God will intervene in health issues and strengthen Frank.
o Deb: migraines and onslaught of the enemy.
o Sherri (Dawn’s daughter): that the migraines would permanently leave.
o Sherri (Pamela’s friend’s sister in law): critical condition with stomach/esophagus cancer. She is in her final moments on earth – her kidz (in their early 20s) are amazing in their faith.
o 6 yr old Elijah (Beverly's friend): severe shaking in one arm. He wants the shaking to stop and the scary people who he sees at night to go away.
o Anna and IDF (Israeli Defense Force, Israel's army): safety, protection, and wisdom. Many of the residents and soldiers experience 100 enemy assaults/attacks in just ONE week!
o Marita: date she is to return to Israel – she has been approved!
o Favor & wisdom in the work force: that those who need jobs will get jobs. That God will have God-chosen jobs.
o That children will stop running and will turn to God.
o That marriages will be healed.
o Corbin (Jim’s acquaintance): God will open his eyes to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior and that he will accept the word of God.
o Cynthia’s sister: recovering from a divorce.
o Cynthia and her sisters to meet godly men.
o Jon (Phyllis’ son) and David (Bev & Ruben’s son): they return to the God of their parents/ of their youth; that their families be healed.
o Sara (Art’s daughter in law): her heart would be drawn to her husband; that the Lord would place believers in her path.
o Art’s Medicare situation to be straightened out – to his financial benefit. And for doctors to find the right solution to his health issues.
o All of Deb’s requirements would be fulfilled and that she will get the part-time job.
o Ruthie (Bev’s friend): heavy spiritual attack; that she is encouraged and resists.
o Travis (Les’a & Don’s friend & a man of God): that the Lord would bring him the perfect helpmate – to share his life and to be a partner in ministry.
o Families (all of our families): to be whole and walk in the ways of the Lord!
o CFS (we!): will have wisdom and tenacity to continue on to see victory!
Assignments:
o Fast: Wed-Thurs (you choose whether liquid/water/juice fast or no pleasant bread fast (giving up a food or drink that you love) for these two days. Several are fasting longer to break the chains that are ensnaring.
