Week 4 of our Walls of Jericho fast – breakthroughs …
By Les’a Cole
In the first weeks of our Walls of Jericho fast, the battle has raged. Though the battle continued this week, we again began to see breakthroughs. Many people told me about miracles: some huge and some smaller: each was orchestrated by our Heavenly Father.
We only have 8 more days until Yom Tru’ah. Let’s continue to press in!
Repeatedly throughout Scripture, we are encouraged to be strong – of courage – to not be faint-hearted. Isaiah 35:4b-6a wonderfully encourages that God will come with vengeance and will save us … and miracles will happen.
“Be strong and unafraid! … He will come and save you.” Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped; then the lame man will leap like a deer, and the mute person’s tongue will sing. For in the desert, springs will burst forth…” Is 35:4b-6a CJB
Be strong & of good courage (Josh 1:6),
because YHVH is with us!
חֲזַק וֶעֱמָץ כִּי יהוה אִיתָנוּ
chah-zhak veh’eh-mahtz, kee YHVH ee-tah-noo!
During the days of Tshuva (season of repentance), we have seen the enemy attack where we are the weakest. But, because YHVH is with us, we will not fear! We are seeing YHVH moving in many different ways – Hallelu-YAH!
Let us continue to pray next week, for our country, for Israel, plus for the other situations for which we are praying. In spite of all the negativity, we see or hear on the news, let us remember that He promises “if My people, who bear My name, will humble themselves, pray, seek My face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land,” 2 Chron 7:14.
I am thankful YHVH doesn’t say that all citizens must pray – He states that IF HIS people humble themselves that HE will heal the land. As you and I, turn from ways that are displeasing to YHVH, we pray, and seek Him, then HE will heal our land.
This week during our fast, let’s continually to bring our country before YHVH … plus the other situations. There are cracks in those walls that the enemy has errected – YHVH is breaking through. “Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ,” 1Cor 15:57 ESV.
Prayer:
“Precious Father! Thank You for allowing us to see Your hand intervening in the situations for which we are praying. Help us to not be faint-hearted but to continue pressing in. We continue praying for those deperate situations in our families and friends. We also pray for You to heal our land. Bring peace to our country. For our soldiers and believers. Expose those with evil intent. Bring Your peace to Israel. In the holy Name of our Messiah, b’shem Yeshua. Amen.”
